StatsWorkout 0.1 · iOS 26 or later · iPhone and iPad
StatsWorkout turns the activity in your Apple Health into week, month, quarter and year statistics. Everything is calculated on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Connect Apple Health
On first launch the app asks for read access to Apple Health. Choose Select All — or at least Steps and Workouts — and allow. Without that permission the charts stay empty.
If you dismissed the sheet, you can ask again any time:
- In StatsWorkout: Settings → Apple Health → Request read access.
- In iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → StatsWorkout.
Apple deliberately never tells apps whether read access was granted. If the dashboard is empty, it is either "no data in this period" or "access not granted" — the Health app shows the truth under Sharing → Apps → StatsWorkout.
What the numbers mean
| Metric | Source in Apple Health |
|---|---|
| Steps | All-day step count for the period, not just workouts |
| Distance | Distance recorded by workouts: walking and running, cycling, swimming |
| Elevation | Elevation ascended in workouts, when the recording app provides it |
| Exercise | Total duration of workouts |
| Activities | Number of workouts |
Counted workout types are running, walking, cycling, hiking, swimming, strength training, yoga and everything else as a general workout. Distance and elevation only come from workouts — a walk to the shop adds steps, not kilometres.
Periods and comparisons
Choose 24h (rolling window ending with the current hour), Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year or Custom. Use the arrows next to the title to move one period back or forward, and Today to return.
Totals are compared with the previous period, or with the same period last year (change it in Settings). A period that is still running is compared only with the same elapsed part of the previous one, so the first days of a month are not compared with a whole month.
Working with the charts
- Pinch the chart, or use the +/− buttons, to zoom into a shorter stretch.
- Drag sideways to pan while zoomed; the circular arrow resets the zoom.
- Tap or drag across a bar or the progress line to read the exact value for that hour, day, week or month.
Units
Settings → Units lets you switch distance between kilometres and miles, and elevation between metres and feet. Every tile, total and chart axis follows immediately.
Demo data
Settings → Data source → Use demo data fills the dashboard with generated sample activity. It is meant for trying the app without Health data; switch it off to see your real Apple Health numbers.
Charts are still empty
- Open the Health app and check that workouts and steps of that period really exist.
- Check that access for both Steps and Workouts is on — permissions are per data type.
- Try a wider period (Year) to rule out an empty range.
- Turn off demo data if it is on, so the app reads Apple Health.
